Our Approach to Building
How we are different from the other builders
Built on process, not guesswork.
Our reputation has always been our advertising. We have built that reputation not only by constructing exceptional homes, but by cultivating lasting relationships with architects, engineers, designers, subcontractors, and—most importantly—the clients who trust us with their homes.
We believe building a custom home should be an exciting and rewarding experience. The foundation of that experience is a strong partnership between owner and builder, built on communication, trust, and accountability. Our clients deserve confidence that their project will be managed professionally, built with exceptional craftsmanship, and supported by a team that stands behind its work.
At WMB, we believe that trust is established long before construction begins. During the preconstruction phase, we work closely with clients to demonstrate our knowledge of construction, budgeting, scheduling, and project management across every phase and trade involved in the building process.
Our clients know we are looking out for more than just the project itself—we are protecting their investment, their vision, and their peace of mind. We utilize highly detailed estimating processes, professional accounting systems, and client portal software that allows homeowners to track progress and stay informed throughout every stage of construction.
Let’s Talk About your Project
We strive for a better building experience. Our goal is not just to deliver a finished home, but to create a process that feels organized, transparent, and well-executed from start to finish. When the approach is right, the outcome speaks for itself.
Timber Framing
Specializing in custom timber framing and fine joinery, we craft enduring structures rooted in tradition and precision. Whether restoring centuries-old barns and cabins or creating new timber frame homes, our work is built to last for generations.
Custom Metal Work
Our in-house custom metal shop can make any custom metal project come to life. We create thoughtfully fabricated metal elements that seamlessly integrate into the overall design of the home, combining lasting durability with elevated craftmanship.
Custom Cabinetry
Located just behind our office, our custom cabinet shop is where Nik and the team construct beautifully crafted cabinets and furniture. Stop by to see a wide array of designs ranging from clean, modern, flat-panel cabinet doors to rustic barnwood armoires.
